Cosmedicare Ear Lobe Repair Surgery 2025
In this new Eve's personal blog article, I will tell you all about my ear repair surgery from Cosmedicare in Livingston.
Cosmedicare Ear Lobe Repair Surgery 2025
On March 15th, 2025, I got my ear lobe repair surgery done. I have been so excited about this process for a long time now and it was well worth the wait. Having started to stretch my left ear when I was 14, I waited years for this surgery. I cannot express how over the moon I am with the results. I had my ear stretched with an ear stretcher and for ten years I had been on the fence about wanting it fixed.
So it was time just to go ahead and get it done. No procrastinating but just jump two feet in and have this fixed finally. I've had so many messages about this, so I thought I would write this article to help everyone seeking answers.

Before The Surgery
After a brief consultation with the attending nurse, I was taken in to speak to my surgeon. This was the first time I had met him face to face. Clearing up everything that would be done and the risk factors it has. I was sent back to the waiting room and then called through once everything was ready for my surgery. I was seen earlier than expected. A great thing, as I then was out earlier that day. For this surgery, you are going to be awake. So a local anaesthetic is used.
You will feel the whole process but itโs just pulling mostly. You will of course hear the process as well. Donโt let this deter you. They had asked me if I would like some music on and this greatly helped with the environment and experience. So my choice was classical.

Ear Lobe Repair And Reconstruction
I did say in my last Eve's personal blog article that I wanted to update you all on when I got my surgery and how it was. If you are wondering what ear lobe repair surgery is, let me clear it up for you. It's when the lower part of your ear needs to be cut and sewn to fix it into a proper ear shape again. For me, I had a stretched lobe on my left ear. When getting this done you need to be aware that you will be awake and it is a local anesthetic that is used for this surgery.
The surgeon had then cut my lower ear lobe into two sections the part of my ear that was stretched off. The next stage of this operation was to reconstruct my ear to look like my right ear and give it more of a shape to make me have a nice normal ear again. Dr Robinson then added quite a bit of glue to hold it together before he started to stitch it up. Once he was about done he added in just a little more glue before bandaging it up for me.

Cosmedicare
Who are Cosmedicare? They are a fantastic surgery clinic that does all sorts of wonderful procedures. The company dedicates itself to ensuring that it's client's needs are met fully and are there every step of your journey before and after. Gill Baird founder and director of Cosmedicare. A wonderful woman with a passion. She was in the clinic on the day of my appointment. I wish I had stayed and picked her brain a little. She made me one hell of a coffee though! That's just how dedicated and thoughtful she is.
This company is based in the Glasgow and Livingston area. With a vast number of treatments at hand. They strive for perfection in every job done and are a remarkable small company with a lot of experience. So if you are in or around the area, I would recommend going for your surgery from this amazing company.

The Clinic
It was the Cosmedicare Livingston clinic where I had my lobe ear surgery done. It was off to a rocky start with phone calls and the booking due to a reception error. Making it hard to go ahead with the surgery this was an ongoing stress. Once it was all sorted though and I was then headed to the clinic for the surgery a sense of relief knowing it was getting done. After meeting the nurse and the surgeon my mind was fully at rest. If this happens to you stick with it because it is worth it.
I did my research on this clinic before going ahead with the surgery. Did you know this Livingston clinic, cost 5 million to create? That's a huge dedication to construct something like this and then fill it with all the right people. I personally think they did a wonderful job of selecting the staff and choosing the right people for the jobs done.
The Surgeon
A surgeon you can rely on. The surgeon who did my ear was Dr Robinson. Such a lovely man with a wide range of skills. He talked me through the process with ease. Keeping my nervousness and enthusiasm in check. Talking with me during the procedure was a great way to keep me focused and engaged in the process as I had been able to get the most comfortable with the nurse and surgeon as the procedure was going on. Anyone getting work done from him should know that you can place full trust in this surgeon and not be so nervous as it is his job to do the best.
It is apprehensive to put your body in someone else hands. However, that being said you need to make sure that you are 100% sure of the company the person, and the job you are getting done. So it is worthwhile doing your research and having a private chat before going ahead with anything, that would be my advice to everyone who has asked me so far.

Cost
The cost for something like this varies on what needs to be done, the company you choose to go with, and the skill level of the surgeon I would say. So mine personally weighing in what my ear was like came to ยฃ875. Every penny was worth this outcome. The best thing you can do is shop around get quotes and go for a consultation. They had asked me to send in pictures of my ear so they could give me the best quote and tell me if it could be done.
There is no harm in asking and you don't need to be scared of them asking for the money straight away. Upon booking you can put a deposit down and pay on the day of your surgery. Making it more of a smooth process. Make sure to ask any questions about costs and payments to know your options.

Healing Process
After one week I was able to take the bandage off. This was trickier than I imagined. Once successfully off, I then cleaned up some of the excess blood surrounding the area. Unable to sleep on that side really, I would say that has been the hardest part during this process for me as I lay on my left side more when sleeping. It's a couple of weeks in now and I'm feeling great about how it's feeling and looking. The redness has gone and it does get a little itchy or sore but not too often. It's been a wonderful sensation being able now to look in the mirror and have a newfound confidence. The difference is huge.

What They Offer
If you are wondering what else they have to offer, check out this section on their website. I have been thinking about other options of things I would like done or have wanted done over the years and I feel confident with Cosmedicare that they would make me feel comfortable enough to have more done. I think I may be back for something else.

Final Thoughts
I am in complete amazement with how my ear lobe surgery has tuned out and I canโt wait for it to be fully healed. I would recommend if you are interested in this procedure you should do your research and if you are booking with Cosmedicare, you are in very good hands.
Iโd just like to thank the staff and the surgeon who did my ear. He did a wonderful job and has made me very happy. It was a great touch to share my social media posts to showcase another great job done by Cosmedicare. Once I had posted they re-shared on to their stories and Iโve had so many people ask me about this because they want to get the work done for themselves. If you have any more questions or inquiries, feel free to contact me on the form below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I think I will be getting back in touch with Cosmedicare for another procedure!
