The Hotel
Situated in the city of Glasgow you will find the Sandman Signature hotel. A modern styled hotel surrounded with similar buildings. What really sets this hotel apart is it's decadent dΓ©cor, keeping everything in the feel of Glasgow from the cone shaped lamps to the causal bed throw pillow in each of the hotel rooms. They stay in touch with the feel of Glasgow well and truly by adding in simple elements in the design of this four star hotel.
The Room Problems
I won't lie, at first I was not impressed at all. I usually always check out the room before I unpack and settle in. I'm so glad that I did this as there was so many faults, and I was appalled. My kitten found a stale chip (French fries) on the floor of the room, by the bed. There was melted smeared chocolate all over one of the bedside light switches, and an empty chocolate wrapper in the other bedside drawer! Immediately calling the front desk to confront them about the situation and anxious to get this matter resolved. The manager arrived to the room and was so apologetic, offering us another stay at the hotel and drinks at the bar as an apology. He tried making light of the situation. I did feel embarrassed for him in the end. After all said and done, it was delt with and I was reassured that the room would be inspected more often, before guests check in.

Searching for a new pet friendly hotel? Do you want to go everywhere with your furry baby? This hotel is one in central Glasgow that offers not just a relaxing time for you, but for your pet. My newest member Horus, adored his time in the Sandman Signature hotel, with every member of staff just swooning over him and his big blue eyes, along with all his treat and cosy bed waiting for him in the hotel room. You can rest assured your, animal will be well looked after, and definitely put first.
Restaurant
We had a reserved table withΒ our now gifted champagne on the house, which was complimentary from Hall, due to the service and problems with our room. Bit off putting with the football on the the screens above the bar though. The place itself was a little empty but we were late for dinner. But that may be as expected for that time slot. They awaited our arrival though, and we were shown to our table with drinks by the lovely staff member we had that night.
Menu
Β The menu consists of a large variety of options for an all round palate. Starters that we ordered were, KFC for me *no not the chicken itβs actually a Korean dish*. This was too spicy for me as I am unable to eat things like this, I swapped with Adams steak bites. We were quite happy just sharing and swapping things round. They were very good, full of flavour oozing out. The starter took about 20 mins to arrive, and the dinner followed shortly after. For drinks, I went with the English Espresso martini, one of my faves to order, when out in a place like this.
Mains -
For myself, I had a fillet steak! I would usually have this blue however, I chose medium rare this time around. I thought I would play it safe, even through I normally have a rare steak. I do this to see how well they can make my steak at a new place! Itβs a good test for a hotel restaurant to make sure itβs functioning properly. Adam had the same, only he had it prepared medium.
The Staff
Everyone couldn't wait to meet Horus, so after dinner I went up to my hotel room and brought him down to meet the staff members. They absolutely adored him taking pictures and chatting about their own furry friends. This was a great way to end a lovely evening in the Sandman Signature. We will be back and this time, I think I will bring both of my cats to see how they keep up with the duo in their hotel. Or even, see how they would feel about my reptiles being there? I used to travel up and down the UK with them, and I loved that so much!
